Sunny is an photographer and artist living in New York City. Published in both editorial and commercial medias, this is her first children’s book.
Sunny was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the States at the age of 5. After becoming a mother, she looked for tools to help raise her child with connections to his Iranian roots, but she was unsatisfied with what she found. Perhaps it is her upbringing as an Iranian in America, a Californian in New York, a perpetual outsider with one foot in each dimension, which gives her a sense of duty to bridge all the gaps she experienced navigating the world.
She hopes this book can build confidence for kids, as well as food lovers alike.
ABOUT US
Ly is a multi-disciplinary designer + creative whose work has spanned an extensive range of fields including, but not limited to, post production, animation and digital media.
Ly was born in Southern California, raised in Portland, Oregon, and made her career in New York City. She is currently living in Paris, France with her adorable daughters and husband.
Her lifelong dream has been to expand her work as an illustrator and designer of children’s books. She hopes to bring joy and wonder to kids all over the world by sharing stories through personal narratives, different cultures and a celebration of what makes us unique. Because that’s what’s cool!
